Union: 60 Years Celebrating the Spirituality and Charism in San Antonio

In keeping with the 60th Anniversary of St. Gregory the Great School, San Antonio, Texas, a newly commissioned plaque of Venerable Nano Nagle, is being displayed in the front office of the school. The plaque reads as follows:
“Nano Nagle, a native of Co. Cork, Ireland, founded the Congregation of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Christmas Eve in 1775. In August of 1952, three Sisters came to San Antonio, and on September 5, 1955, the first Presentation School in Texas opened its doors to extend the Flame of Love to the children of St. Gregory the Great School, and through them, to their parents and friends.
The Congregation today is shaped by fidelity to the Gospel as expressed in the spirituality and charism of Nano Nagle. The Sisters, with love and compassion, embody her commitment to the education and care of children, the venerable and the powerless.”
