Pope Francis gifted the world with Laudato Si’. Our reading and reflection over the celebration week brought about a deeper appreciation of our universe as seen from his eyes. It also presented a scary narrative of the work that needs to be accomplished to protect earth as treasure. The Environmental Focus Group, which is a sub-committee of our Justice Committee, shared Climate Change: Our Call to Conversion, published by the Intercommunity Peace and Justice Center in Seattle, Washington. This program gave new insights and suggested actions for more involvement. On the last day of the Anniversary Novena of Laudato Si’, our motherhouse Ssisters and Chef Ray from our retirement center prayed the final blessing in our new drought resistant garden.
