Welcoming the Stranger

Welcoming the stranger among us is integral to living our Gospel call. In Matthew we are called to welcome those in need:  “I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Matthew 25: 35).

Many of our sisters are working to offer hospitality, educational opportunities, and advocacy to immigrants as well as to others who are striving to improve their lives. Our focus is to give a hand up to those who are new to the community, as we are called to do as Christians.
