United States Province Of The Union

Presentation Sisters came from Cork, Ireland, as missionaries in Texas, California, Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, Mississippi, Utah, Florida, Louisiana and Colorado in the 50s, 60s and 70s. When seventeen previously autonomous groups in Europe and beyond united to form the Union of Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1976, the Presentation Sisters in the United States organized into several structures, eventually uniting to form the United States Province in 1989. In 2012 the Presentation congregation from Fargo, North Dakota, merged with Union and fused to become a part of the United States Province.
