Yes We CAN! Food Drive Across US

The Shared Presentation Experiences group sponsored food drives across the United States during Lent and Easter. Canned goods were gathered in Aberdeen and Sioux Falls, South Dakota; New Windsor and Staten Island, New York; Leominster, Massachusetts; Fargo, North Dakota; Dubuque, Iowa; and San Francisco, California.

Aberdeen

The sisters and Presentation people in Aberdeen and Sioux Falls had a very successful Easter season food drive. Avera St. Luke’s in Aberdeen and Avera Health in Sioux Falls partnered with us and allowed collection boxes in their facilities and invited their employees to take part in the campaign. We were able to take over 450 non-perishable items to the Salvation Army in Aberdeen.  We were also able to deliver numerous boxes in Sioux Falls to fill their pantry shelves.  These community supported efforts will allow the shelves to be filled.  United as One…Yes! We DID!

New Windsor

The New Windsor congregation joined Presentation people across the United States in “Yes We CAN” food drives to benefit local food pantries.  Sisters Laura Urbano, Clare Roche and Gloria Perez, along with employees Maryann Gisler and Justin Perez, took food collected in the New York area to the Deacon Jack Seymour Food Pantry –

Union: United States Unit

Union: United States raised $200 and a box of food in their drive in Fargo, North Dakota. This was donated to Emergency Food Pantry.

San Francisco

San Francisco is supporting the St. Agnes Parish Food Pantry.  St. Agnes is our local parish with a long history with the Sisters of the Presentation.  They requested cash versus food cans/boxes because they buy in bulk.
